Fashion and footwear
Lower label counts than grocery, but complete range changes every season and a shop floor where the fixture does most of the selling. This is display-led retail with a pricing problem attached.
What is different here
The fixture sells; the price has to keep up
Fashion retail turns its range over several times a year, with markdowns running through the tail of every season. The display is doing the persuading, so it has to be right — and the price on it has to change on the day the markdown starts, not the day someone gets round to reprinting.
Label mix
Pricing that keeps up with the range
Specified against the product and the bay, not the store. All of these run on one platform and one price file.
- Nebular-2132.13"
Rail-edge and shelf pricing on accessories and folded stock.
- Nebular-2662.66"
Footwear shelving and plinth pricing with was-price shown.
- Nebular-3503.5"
Deeper format for premium lines carrying material and care detail.
- Nebular-5835.83"
Season headers, campaign messaging and end-of-range markdown bays.
Where the fixture does the selling
Season changeover
A full range reset several times a year — a template push rather than a reticket of the whole floor.
Markdown runs
Was-price and new price on the same screen, started and stopped centrally to the minute.
Plinths and rails
Bespoke brackets where there is no shelf edge to clip to — plinths, rails and freestanding units.
Brand presentation
The label has to sit inside the brand’s presentation rather than fight it.
What changes in the first month
Typical order of impact for a fashion and footwear estate moving from paper to a digital shelf edge.
- Season changeoverOne push instead of re-ticketing the floor
- Markdown runsWas-price and new price on one screen
- Plinths and railsBracketed where there is no shelf edge
- Brand presentationLabel sits inside the look, not against it

Plinths, FSDUs and demo bays
This is where the display work leads. Wood and acrylic plinths, branded floor-standing units and footwear FSDUs — Reebok Nano X5 plinths and the Solid Gear footwear unit among them — designed, made and fitted from Malahide.
